Party Poker is the biggest site in the world. The games are great and packed with players 24/7. Party Poker’s upswing came after the inauguration of the World Poker Tour in 2002 were Party Poker had their own tournament aired on TV. There are many players making a living playing on Party Poker but there are much more beginners for every professional poker player on Party Poker.

(This casino has decided not to allow US players at the moment) Party Poker’s software is decent. The game speed is high and runs smoothly but the graphics is less attractive. There’s no information on how many players seeing the flop available in the lobby neither any “hands-dealt-per hour statistics”. Since there are so many weak players at the site but also many strong players, game selection is very important. Without the statistical information on players seeing the flop it gets harder to find the juicy games quickly, but there’s a find player feature which can be helpful.
Party Poker has more than 50,000 players on peak hours. Most games running are Texas Hold’em. Fixed limit in the cash games and no limit in the tournaments is the way it’s being played. Party Poker has many single table tournaments running, people make a living off of those at Party, as well as big multi table tournaments. Limits vary from $0.50-$1 to $30-$60 in the fixed limit games. The no limit games are spread from $25 up to $200 buy-ins. Besides the huge amount of Texas Hold’em games, Party Poker spreads the standard combination of games which is Omaha High, Omaha High-Low, Seven-Card Stud and Seven-Card Stud High-Low.
The rake is high on the lower limits ($0.50-$1 and $1-$2), players pay up 10% rake on $5 pots. There are decent bonuses and promotions on Party Poker, they often run re-load deposit bonus campaigns as well as hosts many big free-rolls for loyal cash game players. Party has recently started a frequent player program that rewards players with points that can be transferred to merchandise or tournament buy-ins.
As the biggest online poker room there’s no risk that Party Poker has any financial problems. There are many ways to deposit or withdraw money. Support was one of Party Poker’s major weaknesses but they have improved much lately.
